The Exchange provides comprehensive consulting services to assist in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of environmental education programs. Exchange staff work closely with clients to identify program and training needs and offer a highly customized approach to designing educational programs and materials. The Exchange offers the following environmental education services:
Recommendations and master planning on an institutional level to assist in identifying specific environmental education programming goals and needs.
Design, programming and production of interactive multimedia learning software and CD ROM based applications. Design and development of websites.
Custom development of educational program materials including identification of key environmental concepts, lesson plans, preparatory student activities, field excursions, and background materials for teachers and other program leaders.
Design and implementation of evaluation methodologies for existing and newly developed programs and materials.
Development of comprehensive planning documents offering status reports, recommendations, action strategies, task management plans and implementation support.
Development of custom designed staff and/or volunteer training seminars ranging from two hour presentations to multi-day workshops.
Assistance in the identification of potential funding sources and the preparation and writing of grant applications.
Tailored field excursions for educators and/or students focusing on a variety of regional natural and cultural history topics.
