Exploring the Anza Trail

Grades: 3rd and 4th

Welcome to Exploring the Anza Trail, an interdisciplinary program specifically designed for 3rd and 4th grade students. Through a series of hands-on activities, writing and drawing assignments, and a dramatic classroom presentation, students put themselves in the shoes of a colonist on the Anza Trail to explore the universal concepts of overcoming obstacles, using resources, and seeking a better life. Each student receives an in-depth Exploring the Anza Trail Activity Book filled with engaging activities and video links to reinforce newly acquired learning, and 4th graders receive a free National Parks pass. The presentation and related activities are aligned with ADE standards.  Exploring the Anza Trail is sponsored by the National Park Service and offered free of charge to eligible 3rd and 4th grade classes in Tucson and Southern Arizona schools.

To schedule Exploring the Anza Trail for your 3rd and 4th grade students, contact Owen Daly-Forseth at owen@eeexchange.org or 520-670-1442.
