Oro Valley Discover Our Water

Grades: 4th - 5th

Welcome to Discover Our Water, a three-part water education program for 4th-5th grade students, addressing nature’s and urban water cycles, our water supply, water use, and water conservation in the Oro Valley/Tucson area. Students complete a pre-visit lesson and then participate in an interactive one-hour presentation conducted in the classroom. After the presentation, each student receives a five-minute shower timer. Students also complete a post-visit activity to learn more about how to be Water Smart. The presentation and related lessons are aligned with ADE standards. Discover Our Water is sponsored by the Oro Valley Water Utility and offered free of charge to eligible Oro Valley-area schools.
